CREATIVE PROFESSIONALS AND ENTHUSIASTS
Digital Tools for Creative Souls
Design. Photography. Videos. Writing. Publishing. Music. Lifestyle. Technology has finally delivered on its promise for artistic, imaginative, and functional tools that are at long last both a pleasure to use and a necessity in this digital age.
At Innovative, Inc. we sell and service both Microsoft Windows PCs and Apple Macs. We know and support creative professionals and enthusiasts who rely on each platform, who swear by the virtues of each, and we know our own real-world experiences with each platform after having been in the industry since the early 1990s. This experience and insight allows us to uniquely serve the creative community.
The fact is that we love both platforms for different reasons.
Consider that in most cases, to speak to a technical firm typically means that their message and loyalty will be tied to one platform or the other – hence, the “Mac versus PC” phenomenon. If you visit an Apple store, for example, you may not expect to receive an objective review of Microsoft Windows. If you visit a PC retailer, you are not likely to be encouraged to spend a few dollars more for an Apple solution.
We sell both. We service both. We know, from experience, which tool is best for which tasks, which platform best suits a particular purpose; and we are willing to help you decide for yourself. Generally speaking, we consider the Apple Mac to be ideal for creative professionals and enthusiasts because their communities of peers and partners have already adopted the Apple platform with great success. The Mac is beautifully suited to design, photography, video editing, writing, publishing, and musical pursuits.
The Apple product line offers enough variety – from the Mac Mini, to multiple MacBook models, to the elegant iMac or the powerful Mac Pro – without overwhelming consumers with complex options and superficial “bells and whistles.” The Mac is just as suited to professional photographers and designers, as well as to hobbyists. With only a modest learning curve, a creative person can compile beautiful books of photographs or nicely-edited DVDs of family vacations… meanwhile, in the hands of a professional designer, photographer, or videographer, the Apple Mac is a powerhouse for creativity.
In our experience, people driven by creativity and creative lifestyles don’t typically want to be burdened with some of the standard traits of a Microsoft Windows system. Where Windows often seems to demand technical prowess, the Apple Mac is known to “just work.” Apple OS updates and software upgrades are generally regarded as painless and purposeful, while even loyal Windows users often remark on the technical savvy required to maintain a Windows system in top-notch condition. In short, PC gamers may love the raw power and customizable nature of a Windows PC, but creative persons tend to prefer a reliable tool that doesn’t require a lot of technical intervention. And let’s not forget that Macs are now quite powerful and even poised to begin capturing the gaming market.
Windows’ strength may lie elsewhere: business productivity; cost-effective or even “cheap” units; powerful, customizable systems suited to demanding tasks like high-transaction
databases; and compatibility in certain industries requiring “Windows-only” software. But for
creative pursuits, we happily recommend Apple Mac solutions.
