Apple
Macs
Innovative,
Inc. is an Authorized Apple Reseller. We typically keep a few popular
models in stock, and you can visit our showroom in South Pointe Center,
Hagerstown, to experience the Apple Mac hardware and Leopard operating
system, Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For Mac models
that we do not have in stock, we order them quickly from distribution.
We offer AppleCare and expert system setup as well.
WHERE
MACS REALLY EXCEL
While this might be oversimplifying it a bit, we particularly like Macs
for those who use their computers in a few essential ways:
- Internet
Browsing (Macs run Safari and Firefox)
- Email
- Microsoft
Office (documents, spreadsheets)
- Image/Photo
Management, Publishing, and Sharing
- iTunes
(music collecting & iPod synching)
- Family
Entertainment
- Audio
and Video Enthusiasts
PARENTAL
CONTROLS on the MAC
We
highly recommend Apple Macs for home users and family computing. We use
them ourselves in our homes. In our experience the Apple operating system
offers one of the very best options for parental controls. It is increasingly
challenging to limit and monitor our children's activity on the Internet,
while still allowing them to benefit from this incredible tool for both
entertainment and education. The Mac's parental controls are consistent
and relatively easy to use when setup properly. We can facilitate this
and train you on the use of parental controls.
WINDOWS
VERSUS APPLE
With our extensive experience, and our enthusiasm for both operating systems,
we offer a highly objective perspective to clients trying to determine
which platform will best suit their needs. While it is true that most
business environments still largely "demand Windows," there
are many cases (particularly in the home) when an Apple Mac is a better
fit. We enjoy discussing your needs and expecations, and helping you to
choose the best solution.
THE APPLE
IN BUSINESS ENVIRONMENTS
Again, at the risk of oversimplifying the discussion - the current trend
is clear: Apple is gaining ground in the business environment, and apple.com
recently reported that 80% of businesses use Apple products to some degree.
We service businesses throughout Washington County everyday, and we see
first-hand in most cases that it could be a bit of challenge to adopt
the Apple platform in many environments - this is due largely to the Windows-driven
software market. Granted, an Apple Mac can run Windows XP quite well,
but this begins a contradiction that typically leads to unnecessary expense
in our experience. That said, we have clients like High
Rock Interactive and Ridgerunner
Publishing who prefer their Macs for obvious creative reasons. ;)
